History of National Anthem “Negaraku”
Next, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah our former Prime Minister selected this song to comprise National Anthem. Apart from that, it’s rhythm is from Perak state song. Furthermore, it is inspired from “Terang Bulan” song. Sultan Perak, Sultan Abdullah comprises this song. He chose it when he was exiled to the Seychelles Island.
Union Jack Flag to Jalur Gemilang
It was played after 12 o’clock at night on the eve of 31 August 1957. The location is at the Selangor Club Field. At that moment, the Union Jack flag was lowered. Hence, It was replaced with Malaya Federation’s flag. The National Anthem officially is our National song.
In addition, it is emphasizes the loyalty and unity. Each color on the Malaysian flag carries its own meaning. The blue color symbolizes Unity among Malaysians. Besides that, it serves to evoke patriotic spirit and love towards Malaysians.
National Anthem “Negaraku” among EDUCARIANS!
Moreover, we supervise students at IIUM Educare to sing National Anthem song “Negaraku”. Hence, they will sing every time during morning assembly. Pupils will sing along with musical accompaniment. In addition, teachers guide them to stand up straight. It is to symbolizes respectfulness.
IIUM Educare teachers run the learning sessions virtually on weekdays. Hence, our teachers introduce the virtual learning session with this national song. Nevertheless, teachers and students sing it together virtually. As a result, it can enhance the spirit of Patriotism among students.
Furthermore, teachers will provide coloring activities, writing exercise and so on. IIUM Educare provides Facebook and Instagram platforms for virtual learning facilities. As well as that, we will upload the worksheet on the Facebook platform. Moreover, parents assist their children to download the activity.
National song creates nationalist spirit
It is a symbol greatness of Malaysia. Our teachers educate students with proper etiquette when singing. Besides that, it is a sign of respect and love for the country. Pupils will stand upright, hands by side while singing it. This is how good etiquette among Educarians. Moreover, each of the lyrics is unique. Therefore, teachers will take the initiative to teach the students each lyric. Most of them able to sing the National Anthem correctly with guidance.
In conclusion, National Anthem is “Negaraku”. It assigns a significantly deep meaning. Apart from that, it is a symbol of the greatness. At IIUM Educare, our teachers educate them with a high spirit of nationhood. Every lyrical stanza in National anthem conveys a deep meaning.
