Traditional clothes among Malaysians represent a cultural symbol of a society. In Malaysia There are three dominant cultures such as Malay, Chinese and Indians. Besides that, Malaysia represents a multicultural nation which has their own traditional clothing.
Ancient Malay community prefers wearing Baju Kurung and Baju Melayu as ordinary clothing. Similarly, the Malaysian communities of Indian and Chinese descent. The diagram below shows the traditional clothes of the Malaysians community according to different races.
Traditional Clothes among Malaysians-Malay communities
Traditional clothes are in accordance with their respective states. As an example, the traditional cloth of Pahang communities is “Baju Kurung Pahang.” While for men they wear “Baju Melayu Cekak Musang’ with black pants and “sampin” outside.

Apart from that, the Indian communities also have their own traditional cloth. Some Indians like wearing traditional clothes like Saree to attend official functions. Not only that, but during Deepavali celebrations or during their religious events.
During the month of Independence, teachers will provide an interesting activity. It is to cultivate a patriotic spirit among pupils.
